Julie Durno

Julie is the resident counsellor at the Osteopathic House.

Julie DurnoPeople choose to look for therapy for many different reasons; you may be trying to cope with a recent or ongoing difficult event, or have a general sense of dissatisfaction in your life without really being able to put your finger on why. Whatever you're going through, asking for help is rarely easy, and takes courage and strength. It is my intention to support and respect you whilst exploring your current challenges, empowering you to make positive changes in your life. I practise integrative therapy, which means I combine different counselling methods to find the right therapy for each person. The most powerful technique I offer: listening and making sense of what is going on in your life.

Julie firmly believes complementary therapies have a significant role to play in our society, and that integrated healthcare is the way forward. She feels It is essential we take responsibility for our own well-being, and is confident she can help others to do this through counselling.

Julie joined the house in January 2017 and we are pleased her new year resolution was to be part of a team that cares. She can be found on a Wednesday evening between 6:30pm and 10:00pm at the Osteopathic House,
